Need a recond. box

Post by Trunkz »

I realise this possibly isnt the best place to post this, as we do have a for sale section. Basically, 4th gear is completely grinded off in my gearbox, and i need another box for my gti. Has anybody got one to sell? I need to have it courier'd down, until you live near London then I can possibly go up and pick it up from yourselves. Let me know asap :)

Cheers,
Laith. (07818557149)

No I just need a second hand gearbox, from someone breaking their polo gti, or having one lying about :)

You can fence your stuff on afterwards !

It'll be fine.

I've got a 1.4 75bhp Lupo box kicking about as well. :)

I'd suggest investing the £470-£500 in a re-con box that has had all the rivets changed to nuts n bolts and the upgraded bearings etc.... as putting a second hand box in could or probably will end up doing the exact same thing.

Take time to weight up your options I's say.

I agree with Ben. It's best to get one with the rivets changed to bolts as it'll only happen again. I can unfortunately speak from experience :(
