yeah complain to em about that. if they say "tough" then get somne matt black hammerite and spray emn - very very easy to do, and mine have lasted for ages. they won't rust away for a few years yet....

the front discs will oxidise in about 2 hours after washing them! nowt special there.

What do you mean by oxidise? Me not very good in Science. :P

wel i think David was reffering to matt black so it wont show up......

red... just get calliper paint.

ive had mine since June..... hasnt spread ...yet!

may paint them next summer whenits warmer! lol :idea:

I checked out that site you posted about the brake conversion and that dude painted his brake calipers red too - but it seems SO much work? :shock: He did like 5 coats, this and that. He lost me.

Does it require that much amount of work and he took it apart?

well ive seen plenty ppl just leaving the caliper on the car......and painting it there.

dont fink u need to take them apart..

im sure the GTIs on this forum can give u more detail on how u can paint...cus theyve got red calipers.

They're are the standard ones aren't they? So they don't need to paint them in the first place? :oops:

well as they turned pink... the GTi ppl wanted red :wink: unless some were willing to drive around with pink brakes. :lol:
