So... CHD is the only LSD accepting 'box' available for the mk3 Polio?
Would i be right in assuming that... the CHD 'box' & 'LSD' only came on the G40 (or even some G40's for that matter?)
Cheers.

The only G40 that I was aware had an LSD was the cup car. Think hayesey has retrofitted an LSD to his G outta a cup car.

The G40 (ATV) box takes a lsd. But the ones in the cup cars were Gemini (now Ricardo) diffs, which I think needed the casing machined out to accept it. Theres a new diff available which might not even need the case machining out and is supposed to fit all 085 boxes.
In any case you need the box rebuilt with the diff, which is a precise and skilled job. Talking about a grand for a diff and rebuilt box.

Ouch... me thinks my car isnt worth spending that amoint on (yet! lol).
So, i think i should forget about a potential 'LSDd' Polio
Cheers.

no G40 came with an LSD as standard. The cup cars had them fitted however.
As Dan said you can get diffs from a place called Ti-Motorsport (Mark Hunter has bought one) they will apparently fit right into the box without machining. However the unit alone costs about £600 & then it has to be fitted which means stripping the box down & you'd be daft to not refurbish the gearbox at the same time. I managed to get hold of an ex-cup car gearbox which had just been refurb-ed & had a diff fitted for £800. Sounds like a hell of a lot of money but then I could also sell my old G40 gearbox which I got £200 for so the diff & rebuilt box ended up costing me £600 which I think is a pretty good deal!
