Well i havent posted in here for a while so thought i would give a little update.
The car is off the road at the moment, just SORN'd it this morning due to being out the country for 2 weeks and also because it needs two new tyres as i have bad camber issues at the moment.
I am looking at getting it resprayed as the paintwork is really shabby at the moment.
Will also be changing the audio and possibly the interior so watch this space

Let me know what kind of prices you get quoted for a full respray mate
I am seriously considering getting mine done this summer because its really showing its age now and being a black GTI every defect is visible

Same as mine although mine is silver.
I have budgeted around £1500 to have it done although it will be going a different colour just not sure what yet.

Yeah I was thinking around the £1500 mark too, some people say £3K for a top job but that means going right back down to the bare metal.
Got any colours in mind mate? I think i'll stick to black but I am a big fan of the anthracite grey they used on some of the Lupo GTI's

I too am considering a respray at the minute with the amount of swirls, rust spots and dents in my bodywork. I want it to be perfect so a respray may be my best bet.
Don't really feel like machine polishing will do it too much justice whenever I know it'll still have rust spots and the odd car door dent.

Anthracite grey would look excellent IMO

I just want a colour that is "wow" but not in your face.
Hard decisions
