Ok, thank you dear Master, I will have a look at the information you've provided
I am currently home, visiting my dear parents to celebrate our big Indian festival DIWALI( festival of lights, it symbolises triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance)
I wish all my dear friends, forum members and everyone a happy Diwali

Happy DIWALI to all India! π―
It would be good if the rest of the planet also had a special DIWALI day to celebrate with the same meaning as for India, but it is obvious and evident that there is nothing to celebrate...
We Indian's feel humbled as our festivals are appreciated and celebrated throughout the world

What is the purpose of this bit0, byte 11 in both front door control modules? What connection does doors have with ACC. I guess if doors are opened when ACC is ON, ACC gets disabled

I suppose it is a signal for the interaction between control modules to enable/disable some operation. Let us remember that these door modules are installed on a wide range of VW Group models (ATW), from those with high-tech doors to those with ignominious doors (e.g. manual window opening, without central locking, etc).
ACCording to ODIS:
[LO]_ACC_door_contact: [VO]_not_active
I activated it on both front door modules for a while, but nothing happened...
What is the definition for ACC in this case?
By using a little the imagination 'without great effort'...
- Adaptive Cruise Control.
- ACCessories, terminal 15 or similar, 'ON/OFF'.
- ACCident, in case of collision.
- ACCelerate.
- ACCompaniment.
- ACCable.
- ACCeptation.
etc...
Please let us know if you find the purpose of that Bit, I am sure that someone will be able to discover it one day, either by knowledge, diagnosis or by chance.
Background: Without doubt, T-roc rear lid is heavy. Though opening the lid is easy, but it goes up little high to be comfortable to reach it and close, my wife always complained about it. So decided to make life little easier with my roc.
Parts:
1. 2GA827552A/B - RH strut gas filled
2. 2GA827851B - LH strut motor drive
3. 3G0827887C - Motor to close tailgate latch
4. 3G0854719B -Motor latching clips (3 pcs)
5. 2GA827535A - Bowden cable
6. 2GA827506A - Lid lock for power tailgate
7. 2GA827427A - Strut mount bracket RH
8. 2GA827428A - Strut mount bracket LH
9. 5Q0919279 - Buzzer
10. 5Q0959107T - Tailgate control module
11. N91158501 - Rivets for Buzzer ( 2pcs)
12. 3G0959831BWHS - Push button for electric lid locking. OR 3G0959832AWHS/5NG959832A ( 2 button switch for Easy close via second button)
13. 2GB86742682V (RHD)- Trim for switch driver door to open tailgate. 2GA86742682V for LHD
14. 5GD959831 - switch on driver door to open/close tailgate.
15. Wiring kit: I bought the electric tailgate full kit along with wiring including virtual pedal set from AliExpress. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqXzusc
I got the electric tailgate wiring customised by seller to include easy close wiring + button + compatible rearlid control module.
PS:
1) T-roc never came with easy close (2 buttons on rear lid ) from factory, so the wiring kits sold on websites like AliExpress, Kufatec, Car systems etc.. only comes with factory wiring configuration (single button). AliExpress seller was kind enough to oblige my request and customised the wiring for me according to my requirement, for which many thanks to him.
2) I will highly recommend to buy wiring kit readymade for electric tailgate retrofit. You will save lot of time and money.
Here are some stores where it's available:
Following parts are also needed if installing Virtual pedal ( kick sensor) for Easy open + Easy close via kick.
16. 3G0/D 962243D ( preferably C or higher)- Control unit
17. 3G0 962 283 A- control unit bracket
18. 5NA962253 - Sensor lines (wires)
I bought the kit along with electric tailgate kit. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqXzusc
To begin with, whole of lid trims, boot trims on both sides, roof liner partially, rear seats, trims running along the running board from back to front on both sides must be removed for proper laying of wirings on both sides.
Installation pictures:
Buzzer fixed:
Power latching motor:
Lid lock unit: Top power lid lock, bottom stock.
Bowden cable: I struggled a bit to figure out how the cable locks on the lid lock unit side. On the power motor side it's a easy installation. Finally repair manual came to help. This is how it is fixed
Installed new struts: Electric strut on left side and Gas strut on right side.
Brackets for new struts Left stock, Right new
How to remove stock struts:
Left strut
Right strut
Tailgate control module fixing location: On the left side above the wheel arch.
As all the necessary parts have been fixed in tailgate, it's time to fix tailgate control module and do the wiring part.
Before taking up wiring part, here are the relevant wiring diagrams.
This is the final wiring scheme for my T-roc electric tailgate with easy close by second button.
When I checked the AliExpress wiring, I saw a problem. There is no coupler to bridge the wiring between lid side and boot side. It makes routing of wires almost impossible. To fix this issue, we need to cut the wiring at appropriate length and add a coupler. The coupler and the terminals:
At the same time while modifying the wiring, I also added wires for future tailgate warning/exit light
Final modified wiring with scheme and we connect accordingly:
Rear lid control unit installed and its ground connected to nearby groud hub.
Power supply for rear lid control unit:
Canbus connection to lid control unit from gateway:
KL30 for rear lid buttons backlight from boot light. Also for rear lid warning lamp.
Bringing the main wiring from rearlid control unit along C- pillar towards the rear lid coupling point via roof. At the same time connected the connector for left electric drive in the roof.
Connected the other half of wiring in the tailgate by routing the wires from left side. Completed wiring in tailgate:
Next, installing kick sensor + wiring for Easy open+ Easy close by kick. WD:
Kick sensor kit:
The kick sensor module installation with partial wiring was done when installing rear sensors for PLA 3.0. I didn't had bracket for kick sensor module, my dealer gifted me one.
Now the last part of physical installation. Installing remote opening of lid via button on driver door. WD:
There is already factory marking for cutting the trim for installing button on the back side of driver door trim. We cut accordingly and install the button and do the wiring according to WD. There are also plastic clips from factory to route the wiring of button
This concludes complete physical installation. Next comes the fun and most important part: Coding/Adaptation/Basic settings/ Parameterisation. For this I primarily used ODIS-E and occasionally VCDS.
Coding:
1. Gateway address 19 - Enable 6D ( rearlid control unit ) in gateway installation list.
As a starting point, first took the dataset from T-roc rear lid module 5Q0959107R( SW271) matching the SW of module I bought 5Q0959107T(SW271). R module doesn't support easy close by button but it doesn't matter, we edit dataset from R and flash into our T module.
Stock 'R' dataset zip contains 20 datasets.
As explained in iprots posts.. we modify only four ( 720D, 720E, 7217 & 7218)of the 20 datasets in zip folder.
Example : Editing 720D dataset using notepad++, hex editor and online CRC calculator.
Similarly we edit datasets 720E, 7217 & 7218. Repack the edited datasets into zip folder. It will look like this
First, flash the stock R dataset zip folder followed by modified R dataset zip folder using ODIS-E. If everything is done correctly then dataset flash should be successful. Invalid dataset error will hang after flashing, it's temporary, erase it and will never be seen again.
After coding/adaptation, we get Easy open menu in MIB. Select it for Easy open to start working
There are many adaptations channel values for easy close & easy open control module in kessy unit, which need to be adjusted for correct working. I will share my settings, which work perfectly in my T-roc.
After correct completion of basic setting, the rear lid open control module appears under Kessy module.
5. Driver door control module: address 42, enable remote open/close rear lid via switch in driver door.
6. Telematics: address 75( if present) enable
7. PLA : address 76 enable
After everything is said and done, I was left with one final problem, Easy close by pressing second button on lid refused to work. Rest all, easy open and close by kick, closing of lid by first button, remote opening/closing by keyfob and driver door button were working. An erasable error was registered in rear lid control module everytime I pressed the second button.
I spent many days trying to find out the cause and solution for this final problem. I could not get any leads, negative thoughts started to make me believe that easy close by button may not be possible in T-roc.
Well, my sadness didn't last long another maverick Jackson hu from Taiwan came to my help. He told me to swap the two wires T8/5 and T8/7 of easy close button.
.. and Alas.. finally problem solved.. easy close by button started working immediately He had similar problem with easy close by button in his Touran Damn, Chinese messed up the wiring I remember I had checked the wirings with WD before installation, may be I overlooked these 2 wires.. I guess am getting old fast
Autoscan: Bit old, but it's taken after successful installation of electric rear lid.
Holy moly that's really impressive patil. Well well done and a nice write up too.

"" awesome work! ... when you decide to sell your T-ROC I'll buy it from you, I don't care if it has the steering wheel on the 'wrong' side.

Thank you iichel and dear Master for your kind words
There was lot of scepticism in the beginning about successful implementation of Easy close via button in T-roc. I took a bit of gamble, but in the end everything worked out well. It's so satisfying when your efforts pays off
I feel like tailgate is no more in my roc

Hi, my dear Doctor, due to a spark in my brain I thought again about the RVC High that you previously posted to install your TRoc.
Because the data sets must be 'appropriate' in order to successfully achieve camera Calibration with ODIS I was poking around MIBSolution to see what data sets they had out there, maybe you find there a dataset of a model 'similar' to the TRoc (SK,etc).
However, I have the VW Taos data sets for the RVC High that I no longer remember where they come from and that I will send to you by email in case you want to try them...

I haven't received the RVC high camera yet. I am also planning to change the RVC logo to new type at the same time. I will take your help with calibration and datasets when I am ready with all the parts. Thank you so much dear master for offering the help
Meanwhile I got a confirmation from an AliExpress seller that, Customised side mirrors base to fix area view cameras will be available soon for T-roc. This will be one step closer to those who wish to retrofit 360 camera in their T-roc.

Bought touch climatronic unit with frame from AliExpress.
I am little sceptical if the frame would fit in my RHD T-roc. A buyer from South Africa wrote in review that frame wouldn't fit in his RHD T-roc.
OEM climatronic frame is not sold seperately for T-roc, it's a part of whole central console trim.. VW
I will try to modify the frame if it wouldn't fit. I will write.

Post edited to correct the mistake.
BRAZIL= LHD
South Africa=RHD

The AliExpress touch Climatronic panel won't fit in RHD T-roc
The south african buyer was right!... I wish I would have found his review before placing the order.
There is no way this panel can be modified to make it fit perfectly. A case of double blind, neither seller told me nor it crossed my mind that the panel would only fit LHD T-roc.
Will try to get RHD panel 2GB863099B, as I mentioned in previous post, this part is not sold seperately, it's a part of RHD central dash trim 2GB863042B.

Without a doubt it is an inconvenience, something similar happens with the color of the touch climatronic trim for G7.5, only available in glossy black. Fortunately, the 'gray' touch chinatronic trim is also available on Ali, which I think is only for sale on Ali (at least when I bought it).
Looking at it from another point of view, at least the entire Troc RHD touch climatronic trim/panel was later manufactured for the following Troc MYs.
Another 'small' hole in the pocket...
