I likey the tartan man and the gti in the headrests, you well need to retrim your door card centers in tartan now ha....

I can get you some very serious bentley or rolls Royce colours mate what colour you want to go for as rolls Royce do some very nice greys and silvers....

Seats look oversized in the pics for the car but may just be the pics I dunno....

Black pillars on the list mate???

Great job dude,the seats do look nice and seem to tie in with the rest of the car well.I was waiting for more people to start fitting these in the Polo.

Hows the room with them in,have they taken up much more?.

I have tried to do black pillars with vinyl in the past but i FAILED so many times i gave up

The seats in the picture do look oversized but they are actually smaller in the front.

I have decided to keep the polo silver now for resale and originality reasons, will be having certain parts of the car resprayed to get it looking fresh again.

The front seats are a bit smaller than the originals but the back bench is slightly wider than the original meaning back seat passengers have slightly less leg room.

Had a trip to VW to get some service parts for the polo:

Air Filter
Oil Filter
Oil
Sump Plug (Free)
Spark Plugs
Full set of HT Leads (Red ones)
"O" Ring for the thermostat housing
New oil breather pipe

Total cost £ 169.00 which i thought was pretty cheap from VW and of course they are all genuine parts.

I also fitted my latest ebay purchase, i am soooo happy with it and makes the car feel brand new (especially with the seats):

It looks a little bigger than the standard wheel from the pics but is it?

Those service bits were a decent price too, I need to visit VW this week for some more gearbox oil so I might compile a similar service list to yours

Only thing I would suggest is that you remove the buttons and fit the nice piano black inserts instead

The overall circumference of the wheel is the same as the old wheel, minus the flat bottom which actually makes the wheel smaller overall.

This wheel is a lot thicker than the original one though so gives you the illusion that its bigger.

Next step is to get the buttons working (even though the wheels electonics are can-bus, we may have found a way to get some of the buttons working).

Just need to get another head unit again now.

You'd probably need a can gateway to get the steering wheel working....not too difficult to install if you know what you are doing

My mate has started up his own business and is pretty good with auto electrics, i will leave it in his hands to try and get it working

I am happy with them not as they are, but he said he wants to make it a personal challenge to get them working.

Looks Brilliant Neil! Apart from the Airbag loom how was the fitment?

All i had to do was fit my splip ring off the GTI wheel to the rocco wheel and sort out the horn as it was going off when you turn the wheel, horn works fine now just was earthing out on the slip ring.

Also the indicators were not self correcting to start with as the slip ring was misaligned but after a couple of attempts we got there in the end.

Ive worked out before it's cheaper buying from VW then it is from Halfords.
(both with and without staff discounts from both)

Car has now been stripped down and ready for a respray.

Need to try and get a new front bumper for it as soon as i can though as the one i have needs a fair bit of work to get it back to a good standard.
