Got this Komfortblinker kit off ebay for just £26
Fitted it last night, took about half an hour. Will take a little getting used to but so far i am loving it.
Thanks to Trunkz for posting up the correct colours on the wiring

Got hold of a GTI badge for my steering wheel, the whole metal part the badge sits on is replaced as it is all one piece.
Think it finishes the wheel off nicely

Looks really good Neil
Yours must be one of the most modern GTI's out there with all your newer parts

Thanks for the comments, hopefully going to be adding a whole loads of newer parts this year if funds allow
I am interested into seeing how hard it would be to fit a new Jetta centre console piece (the bit that goes gown by the handbrake) into the polo, would have an armrest then as well.
Only problem i can see is that the handbrake is actually in a different position

The steering wheel is a new style across the range of new VW's these days i think, the listing on ebay said it was for the new scirocco.
Havent had a chance to look at the controls yet as i am still saving for a new double din head unit. As soon as i get it, i'm gonna look into trying to get the controls to work with it.

Is the wheel a straight swap? Not a fan of the standard wheel

Car looks great

Kind of, you need to take the slip ring off your standard wheel and drill the new wheel in order to fit the slip ring to that.
You will also need to make a new loom up to get the airbag working as it has a different plug on it.
May also need to put some tape on where the steering wheel slip ring meet up as sometimes the horn will go off all the time.
Sounds a bit off putting but it isnt that hard really.

After a couple of years of suffering from heat exhaustion in the polo because i thought the compressor had snuffed it, i decided to bite the bullet and get someone to have a look at it.
I called in CoolCar, a company found on the internet and he came out to have a look at it. Straight away he said it looks like a gas problem as his test instrument was bouncing around like a good un. He did a full check of each component associated with the air conditioning to make sure they were all working properly which they were (a big bonus for me as i didnt need to replace any parts).
He did a full service which included draining the system, checking all the components out, re-oil the compressor and insert a dye in the system so it can pin point any leaks, then he re-gassed the system and BINGO........I have freezing cold air conditioning again
It cost me a total of £60 for the service and re-gassing of the system and he even came round to the house to do it.
Cant recommend these guys enough, really nice chap

Ah looks like a good deal that. Had ago at doing mine at work as we have a machine that regasses and charges the system back up, couldn't find the outlet pipe but from your pics I think I know now.... Nothing worse than crap heat and no ac working...

Mine needs a regas I think, was boiling in it today. Seems a bargain for what he did.

Considering a re-gas is about £50 at most garages these days, i thought that £60 for a full A/C service and re-gas at my house was a bargain. Would definitely recommend them.
