cheers matey, i think i was being a plum and didn't have the ignition switched on. il have a go during the day.

Also change start KBAUD to 9600 - it will cause errors otherwise

Id get a new brake light switch from the dealer. They revised the part since making the Polos due to the fact its very prone to failing.

got a few goodies today :D

Image

after some HARD work, blisters and scrapes later, managed to get the splitter on and the bumper grille is finally changed

Image

very happy with how it looks now, the splitter is beefier than i thought it would be :D

also changed one of the window winders, and the mechanism that holds the indicator light in, because the black bit snapped of and the light kept popping out on bumpy roads...only to find my other one was broken too, so will need to get another kit maybe next week

will maybe start preppin the spoiler today too

spent yesterday sanding down the spoiler as it was a bit messy to start with and then got all primered

got home from work today, gave it a quick sand down with some 1200 and got it all smooth and also managed to get some paint on it :)

Looks good mate, the GTI front splitter really does make a big difference along with the honeycombe grill's.

What you got planned next then?

after the spoiler i think that will be it with the bodywork, i want to get some wind deflectors though

then i will drop it hopefully in June as i have exams in May. i like the look of the Eibach sportline springs on MBoyle4's gti, if not i might pick up a set of JOM coilovers

but before that it will just be the small details and some engine maintenance but il see how it all goes :D
