That bloke works for VW so has got it fully specced and everything VW sell on it by the looks of it!
I'll try taking the blank and cup holder out if you want dxg, see if it can be done and how to do it, let ya kno!

Yeah, the 17" Exor's. If only I had the money. It's also got the bodykit polo2k found on ebay on it.
Hmmm. Do I pay off the finance, do I trade it in, or mod it??
Must. stop. coming. to. this. board. and. getting. ideas.
The aero rear wiper's sitting here waiting for the car to get back to me, and vagparts should be investigating "something else" for me (although I haven't heard back yet)...

Mole,
I was thinking they might make useful cubbly holes (now that my cdslot should be filled when it comes back...
) but I guess there might just be a "void" behind there.
I'd be interested in what you find out. It's odd that, in his photos, there's some sort of metal in the cubbly hole that would have had the blanking plate on it. So this idea might not pan out...
Although, I do notice one thing he doesn't have is a switchblade key!

Yeh Im not convinced that they will make cubby holes by taking out the blanking plate and cup holder but I'll have a look if I can!

No he hasn't. Nor have I! I want one! My uncles just got rid of his Golf and had one, and his new TT has as well. They are pretty cool

Maybe it's because you have an early car. But don't worry - they don't stand up the wear and tear. Another friend with a 18 month old Golf (bought new) has a switchblade key that has no printing left on the VW logo and the three buttons on the back have worn down to the level of the engraved symbols - to the extent that the white paint in the inprint is starting to wear off.
Not sure what he's been doing to it...

about the cup holders - I'd only take the blanking plate out if you personally want to find this out. My central console has a "nick" (darker colour underneath) in it where the dealer had previsouly taken it out to look at rattles (before the latest saga) - obviously cause by levering a screwdriver into the join at the front of the top mobile phone tray (well, what else is it for?) so I know the top coating is pretty easy to damage.
Just don't want you to risk damaging your car over something trival...

Yeh I'm interested in finding out, but I probably won't keep it like it if it is possible! Wasn't going to lever it out, it's the worst way of doing stuff!

Just got my car back in a bit of a state where it went in for a bit of work
And yeh, that's where I keep my fone! Or sometimes in the sunglasses tray!
(shelf under steering wheel).

Here's a thought - you see to have one of the "good" cars.
Where was it built?
Mine's a spanish one. ("Y")
I think there's also a german factory making polos, but I don't know the code. I wonder where I got that Y from, though...
Anyway - maybe there's a link here. Might explain the key if it came from a different factory to mine - especially as mine isn't all that newer than yours.

This is a really nice 9N, good find!
And there hasn't changed much from stock, just drop and OE wheels, AFAIK. Are the bumpers and skirts etc. stock?

It doesn't matter what VW you own, if you put decent alloys on it it will always look good.
If you were to put alloys on say a mk3 Ford Escort its still gonna look naff, alloys on a nissan micra naff, as long as you own a German motor it gonna look the business.
