About the chassis type (Byte1):
I believe, I thought previously, that for the T5.1- 2 (GP) the corresponding value is
00 Twist Link Rear Axle suspension for Bit 4-5.
It is not directly related if it is 2wd or 4wd, or number of sensors, it is more about the type of axle for the suspension in general terms or of a specific axle.
This is what I understand by a Twist link rear axle and not a Multi-link rear axle, however please correct me if I am wrong because my technical English is as good as my technical Russian.

Hello and greetings from Norway!
Spesial thanks for Ciclo for so much information about BCM upgrade and Auto headlights retrofit.
I have H7 factory headlights, no fog/cornering lights. By now i just want to do only auto headlights and keep factory H7. Planing upgrade to T6 led later on
I Have upgraded BCM (following cruise control and MFSW), installed RLS with dim mirror, new auto healights 10pin auto swich and new dimmer. Wiring adaptation for BCM controled lights is done acording ciclo's guide in prevous posts.
All looks very promising, just ran into some small problems and i think it just codding issue.
1. When swich is set to auto or lowbeam high beam indicator allways stays on on instrument cluster. High beam works as it should.
2. When swich is set on auto, low beam is allways on, no matter if it's light or dark outside. Same with Leaving home function.
I was looking to test RLS output, but could not find it how on VCDS. Just wanted to make sure that ligt sensor is working. Rain sensor working as it should.
3. Missing rear fog lights. Can activate it by VCDS but nothing happens from swich.
I would apriciate any help for solving this

Hello again, I have already checked your BCM coding.
Due to your current BCM coding you have to confirm the following:
- Do you have the start / stop system installed on your T5?
- Do you have bi-xenon headlights installed?
The answers seem obvious from your comments, but I am currently making no assumptions.
It is not necessary, but it would be convenient for you to post an autoscan before any modification for automatic lights, that is, with the old BCM installed with everything OK. It would help tremendously and give you a perfect coding for your current BCM, lighting system, etc ... The current one appears to be a disaster (nothing worrisome ...
).

The BCM MAX came used from 2017 mod transporter. That one had start/stop, and was giving some errors for me. After reading some posts i have disabled it, just don't remember how
I think i was some think it was something with batery regulator controler.
Mine T5 has no start/stop system and no Xenon lights, eaven i do have som coding on bit 23
But i just becouse have tryed a looot of diferent coding on my BCM max, stange that is still alive

New BCM coding: (Automatic lights, CH/LH)

It is based on the BCM coding of your old BCM.
Please try the above BCM coding and tell us the results.
Check all lights, including interior lights, license plate lights, reversing light, rear fog light.
Note: I leave the lights for Scandinavian countries activated, as they were previously active, which is so that the parking/side lights always remain on.
Note 2: Errors may arise depending on the electrical installation and other factors. Do not panic, it will be solved later.
The AUTO function will work, in dark, shady areas (garages, tunnels, etc.) and after activating the windscreen wiper (there are on and off times in these circumstances).
The CH function is semi-automatic, it is necessary to remove the key from the ignition switch, pull the HB lever once (flash) and open or keep the driver's door open.
The LH function is automatic, when you press the unlock button with the remote control.

Yeah, i just drive in and out of garage for last two months now after i starting retrofiting
However i got +1km today
Hopefully i can start use van more soon, specialy in winter season for going skiing with kids. It starts to look promissing with your help Ciclo!

I was lucky with sunny weather today, so could test light sensor properly
Sensor works like it should. Only park lights then it is light and sunny. I have covered sensor and than Low beam kicked in and CH function became active.
Have checked all lights both in auto and manual.
Parking - OK
License - OK
High beam - OK
Low beam - OK
Breaks - OK
Indicators - OK
Rear foglights - not working.
High beam blue indicator light at my instruments is still allways on. Both on auto and manual.
Rear fog light still not working.
I have dobbel checked wiring for fog light. Like it is now, i have ran new direct cable from pin7 from 10 pin conector light swich to 73b/43 for rear fog lights input and output from 73a/6 to original t17/9. Ran output test from VCDS again and it fig light ligts up. Thinking must be something between swich and bcm...
Here is my BCM scan after your codding. Came an error message of incorect codding of BCM. Everything else like MFSW, RLS... looks ok and working.
And by a way, sorry for my English, it's not my native language...

In case you had to enable any Bit in the BCM when you installed the J702 unit (Ctrl Head Roof) re-enable them.
The reason the high beam indicator light is always on is because there is something wrong with the wiring installation. Fuse 28 (fuse 27), wire going to T73a/62, or something close to ...
Something strange is happening here, the wire that goes to the high beam indicator light is not touched in the BCM adaptation.
This wire is connected to the supply that leaves from T41/39 (Stlaks) and that goes to the SC28 fuse to later supply the high beam for the right headlight and the indicator light on the instrument panel.
If you do not find the problem, remove and isolate the wire that goes to the instrument panel T32/14, install-attach a new wire 0.5mm2 from SC28b (output) to T32/14.
What AUTO light switch are you using?
Test unchecking Byte22 Bit6 and check if the rear fog lights work. (in my 6R the rear fog light stops working when this Bit6 is enabled)

I haven't done any changes in codding for J702 appart that i have added it to installation list.

...uff, i have done total rookie mistake here. I have ran High beam signal from wrong fuse. I have ran wire to T73a/62 from SC28, not from SB28 as you described. Now it fixed and no more constant high beam indicator

Bytte 22 bit 6 didn't made any diference. Rear foglight still not working.
I don't have front fog lights yet, but my switch is for both foglights, so i have ran wire from pin 5 light swich to T73a/7 just in case. No change...

The light switch is not correct, it belongs to other platforms (Golf VII, etc) and it is the reason why your rear fog light does not work. The management of the rear and front fog lights is managed by
electronic signals through a single communication wire with the BCM.
You must buy the correct light switch:
- 3C8 941 431A XSH
or
- 5ND 941 431B XSH
or 5ND 941 431E XSH
This is the light switch I have on my 6R, with a more updated look, it is very hard to find.
It is the original VW light switch that was installed on the 2016 Tiguan for the Chinese market.
Note: be very careful if you search on Aliexpress, they can send you a switch for Golf VII, Polo 6C, etc ... which is not compatible with the PQ25, just like the one you currently have.

What you also can do is take the internals from a PQ25 light switch and put it into the housing of the MQB switch. That's what I did with my own light switch.
But then you'll notice that the rotation of the light switch is slightly off, it's rotated. So I put in the dashboard of a Polo 6C.
So it's probably best to take the light switch with the part numbers as mentioned by ciclo.

I did had new 3C8 941 431A XSH switch laying aroud, brought from aliexpress long time ago. Changed it and fog light everything else is working now
Sad, i liked that one becouse of white lid
Looks like T6.1 has some big changes in electrical system for all new functions added in latest models. Maby switch will work on mine T6 2017mod

No, i didn't. I have added J702 after upgrading BCM. But i have't got it working yet. If i understant right my Aux.heater C 7E0 815 071 A needs a new firmware from or similar to 7E0 815 071 C to get it working with J702 so i have put it on hold for now...
