This prob wont work and could poss give you a perm but
Can you not run a wire from the original reversing light to your new one ?
Join that to a on/off switch put the new reversing light wire on the switch and also and fog light wire.
The run a new wire from the switch into the bulb holder ?.
So that you can switch between reversing light and fog light when your time for the mot comes ?.
Or Can you not run a wire from the original reversing light to your new one ?
and kept the fog light wire somewhere safe near the bulb holder so you can change it for the mot ? or is that to much work to do before the mot ?
This is prob no help what so ever lol

Well I bought a german rear light to match the English one so they are symmetrical so now my fog is White not red I'm just wondering of the best way to wire up the fog to become twin reverse lights ?.
Does that make sense ?.

I would have thought you need to wire up your reverse light in parallel with your fog
This may be wrong as i'm a mechanical engineer!
But what are you going to do when its foggy? Maybe you could put a red bulb in the cluster for the reverse light instead?

Sorry been laying off the car for a while, not yet mate but I now know how to. Just need to do it,
I'm saving up to redecorate my lounge then il spend a grand on my car and finalise it !. So won't be any updates for a good 6 months but then they will all cone at once
