hahah, I wish......dont think the gearbox would last too long, I think i have done well for it to last 14 months, supercharger would eat it in 14 minutes.

There has been no progress on the polo since last time, I was saving all my money for my America/Bahamas trip which I have now been on and had a great time, now the missus wants us to start saving for a house so its unlikely that any more mods will be done to the polo in a hurry
We are still doing a few of the shows this year though, so who knows what I might pick up

yeah, you have to pay the scene tax on wheels these days
The polo might be put on hold for other mods even more now as we have decided to get married before buying a house as we wont be able to afford to once we have.
That said, I have had to do some work to it this week as I was driving around on the weekend (going to different wedding fayres) and out of the blue a grinding noise appeared. We had a look and couldn't really see anything other than the front brake pads looking really low.
Got it booked in to have the pads replaced (because it was raining and i didnt want to get wet

) and it turned out that the person who fitted the CV boot last year hadn't tightened the drive-shaft up properly and it was that, that was grinding as it was going in and out of the gearbox. Good job I took it on to a garage rather than do it myself otherwise I wouldn't have known about the drive-shaft and would have likely ended up damaging the gearbox and drive-shaft. Also the front passenger drive calliper was sticking so it has now been taken apart and freed up and a whole load of copper grease packed in to try and prevent it from sticking again.
Breakdown of repairs:
Brake pads - £30
Fitting - £30
Correct drive-shaft issue and correct sticky calliper- £10
Total Bill - £70
One things for sure though, I wont be using the person who used to work on my car again, very sloppy work and isnt the first time I have had to correct mistakes he made.

Had the polo serviced this weekend and also had my cat put back on as the MOT is up in the next two weeks.
Car drives so smoothly since having the work done, perhaps it could be because one of the things i had changed was the fuel filter, it was teh original filter by the looks of it so god knows how much crap was in there.

Nice one on the 120,000 mile stone Neil. We noticed the fuel filter change made a huge difference on Phils GTI. Looked like the original and the fuel that came out really smelt old and stale. Made a huge difference to the whole running of the car. Glad to see she is still going strong

This is some car ou have produced, its only right to say that you produced it as the things you have changed are seriously well worth it e.g the seats. Wow they look superb. you have really given this Polo the GTiness it deserves. Cracking little cars for sure.
Really like this mate......

Thanks
The polo has now got a fresh 12 month MOT on it, passed with only the headlights being out of alignment which the garage sorted out there and then
