I guess you will indeed need to flash a different software to your abs unit

Any pointers on how to do that?

Best to talk to a local expert with vcp or Odis. Not something for the DIY people.

I am not aware of anyone around me who does that. Let me see if I can find out else will see what's next.

Asked couple of people and it seems they are not aware of how to do. Any pointers from members out of India so that I can contact relevant people.

Also if no one then I might want to go diy way to get vcp and find software and flash or find an abs unit which has higher software version

Find someone who has VAS5054A or newer and has ODIS ( ODIS E ). I'm pretty sure that if you find someone with this that someone will send you the correct files to flash the abs module.

I'd start with Patil. Perhaps he knows how to help you out (local or remotely)

Your ABS module SW version must be updated to 6R0 907 379 CB (from BN CB), which is the latest firmware. Unfortunately this firmware is not available in public domain.
It has to be purchased and also need access to ODIS-E or Original VCP to flash it. It is also important to know where you are located in my country.

Also i recently became the owner of VAG car and did few things, nothing like legends here but will surely write a post on the same and will try to contribute as much as i can with my limited knowledge

Could someone tell me what are the default values for these adaptation channels in ABS 8.2i unit please?

- 21 (0=small, 1=center, 2=large)
- 35 (1=on, 0=off)
- 51 (1=enabled, 0=deactivated)
- 73 (1=on, 0=off).

Also, does somebody know what they are for?
