Luckily I've never had to worry about that yet, but I know what you mean, with me it's usually after I've gone fast.
I then start thinking, if one of them was a Police car

Right finally got my head screwed back on....
I just think that some people who have responded to this forum as speed restriction worshippers.
Yes I've got an advanced driving certificate. It's a bit useless to use in and around London. But I can't honestly say that I stick to the speed limit all times
I just find it Sad that some people come to this topic just to say what a good driver he/she has been. If we were all this good we would not need topics like this.
If people don't like this topic on pipping people at the lights look elsewhere. Its like saying you hate the presenter on a certain radio station but you still listen to it .......WHY???

Whoa..... I was about to mention Santa pod earlier.
its a cool place. Didnt use polo for that occasion but used a Subaru Impreza instead. Wacky, fun, unpredictable and most of all safe.

Back to the original question...
Seeing as I don't have any 2 lane 1 direction traffic lights where I live, I usually go down to the industrial estate where theres a clear strip to drag, or just play outrun with my mates on a
clear road (no im not and idiot driver before you lot start

).
Anyway, the vehicles I have 'pipped':
Clio 1.2 16v (old model)
Polo Mk6 SDI
Some little scooter (dunno what though)
Golf mk3 1.6
Not bad seeing as I only have a 1.3 mk4...
Disclaimer: No i dont condone racing or speeding. Speed doesn't kill, idiot drivers do.

Before I got my Polo I had a V***hall A***a 1.4i and I raced a Polo (dunno what engine) down the A1... was like me overtaking him then slowing... then him doing the same... then me passing him at the side of the road with the pigs!!! HAHAHA
Would want it to be the A***a driver stopped now though

Scooters..... any driver's worst nightmare..... they can p*** you off from front and behind..... yes they can weave in and out of traffic ...... Yes they can be nippy..... but boy do they annoy the hell out of me..... the best part is when you are on a straight and they still have the cheek to race you.

I hear that, and must confess to doing that. I had one right on my bumper one night, so I crossed a roundabout (onto a national speed limit road) and didn't see him again
