The raceland is very good! I paid £90 to exhausts UK in sheffield to fit mine...they actually spent the WHOLE day doing it lol. Seemed a bigger task then they had thought...although i wouldnt recomend the quality of work they did with regards to my lambda probe!

When i had my GTi rolling roaded it was putting out 6bhp more than stock and that was with the raceland manifold on...and a BMC but i doubt that did much of a contribution to the gain!

Definantly consider it.

so how badly in total is the fit of the raceland to the GTI mk5 engines?

Also...would be be like the mk3 G40 ones, which have an extended pipe that acts like a decat.
I'll get me one, but only if i don't need to faff about welding in a lamda boss or having to bend it majorly...i mean a few mm's out is understandable but being an inch out is terrible.

Tigs...can you pm me what you've done to yours so far, and what you plan to do if thats ok.

I'm about to fit this engine as a conversion into my mk4 from monday next week, so i want a headstart on what parts i'll need.

already have a bmc, and that round steel OMP brace pictured...so next is 4-2-1 and decat...

you can get certain exhuast parts still... some are out off the main production line but can still be manufactured for big orders to make it worth the time of recalibrating their machiines

That's good news :D Shame I'm pretty much strapped for cash after my accident. Will these parts be around for long?

not sure to be honest as i don't know the amounts they have to make... if the demand is low then they could make the decision to stop manufacturing at any time...

Exhaust and manifold will probably be the next thing on my list after the bodywork
