I bet it pulls well top end as well, must be 145+ MPH

Styling is a hard one to call though, I think if it was a normal MK5 Polo then I would stick to the sleeper look but the GTI is such a nice looking car and you dont see many of them on the roads so I would find it hard changing. :)

How much would you say this project has cost you as a ball park figure?
haha not going to shout about high speeds....

its just the decision of making it into a mini R32/Clio V6 lookalike.....OR go down the normal shiny route and run TH lines - stuckkkkkkkkkk

£8.5k.....Polo, Crashed Ibiza Cupra,Bodywork and conversion and all parts BUT ive had a lot of favours and cheap parts from companies wanting to play a part adn mine is 10x better than any conversion JBS or TSR chuck out...sorry to say that but hey

I'd say keep it a bit of a sleeper, with just those subtle hints of what it can do. Don't make it like every other guy with a 1.8t lump who's just going to f**k up the outside with bodykits and the like. Make sure the people who know what they're talking about can tell it's serious, but keep everyone else guessing :D

I say keep it a sleeper too. Give people a shock seeing a polo shoot past them - On a private road of course.

The £8.5k.. does that include the price fo the polo, aye?

yep £8.5k from the day i picked up the GTI to the day i drove it out of the garage ;)

yes definitely staying mostly a sleeper but just sooo stuck on wheels as they make or break a car

£8.5K is not bad at all really though, I would rather spend that on a 6N2 then buy a decent 9N3 for 11K.

Money well spent I would say

Totally agree about the wheels, they totally define the looks of any car!

Ronal LS? bit different to the usual BBS list, but still subtle enough to set the car off nicely i reckon :D

Super t's would be a good one i think, just dont get them too big! either that or the th lines. not such a fan of the turbo's they just dont look right to me.

just ment they're not as nice as 15"ers. IMO TH-liners look best when smallest, 14" are my fav. not an option for you obviously, but 15s would look sick 8)

i see i see, i prefer them in 16's as you get more metal? i like wheels with big flat faces like D90's and most of the mercedes wheels!

although im still not sure if i want to spend that much on the car now, still having cravings for something big and shiny....

Now now tomo, i can recall at least 3 times reading through this thread that you've said you're never going to sell, you big fat liar ha

Don't sell, keep it and buy an A4, sure you'll be able to afford both... :P

haha i know tell me about it...all these temptations and bad days when its raining and stuff! i do wish that at 21 i could afford an A4 Cab and the 20v Polo but its not really possible at the moment as im also trying to save to start my own business!

hmmmmmmmm i think i may sway back to some RS's but maybe go with black centres so it looks a bit more stealthy and mean

also managed to stap my rear stabiliser mount yesterday so its in the garage tomorrow for some custom fabrication work doh
