THE Polo. 1.8T - GONE replacement buildthread started...

Post by tomo87 »

well it all starts here, i picked up my GTI today which is a black 3dr. needs a bit of tlc in the form of bodywork and also needs a full leather trim to make me happy!

so yes it will be seeing 20vt power in june so now the work begins I have a set of polished teledials to go on untill i get my chrome centre BBS RS
Cage is on order as I will be running a stripped out rear and also coilovers should be here next week.

in the meantime the polo is going straight to the bodyshop to have all bumpers and doors smoothed! oh its going to be so scene

enjoy....

It's not going to know what's hit it!

Good luck with the project, a lot of money you'll never see again but you only live once.

What anchors do you have in your plans?

This'll be interesting, will keep an eye on your progress! If you reckon you should be ready by July, will the car make it's debut at E38 then?

Looking forward to see how this turns out. Mainly interested in how the chassis handles the power with choice modifications

well they guy who is doing the swap is very optimistic...dropping it off to him on 22nd June (on way to maldives woop woop) and he thinks it will easily be done by 10th july.....
so that means the first trip will be gti summer festival or the vag/audi trackday at castle combe

brakes wise i am going to see if i can use the ibiza ones then if not it will be G60's

ARB and FK Konigsports should look after the chassis

and as for the money side of this i have been saving for a while and have a good job lined up for BMW and i am planning on never selling it to be honest

lots happening tomorrow!
