Today I have completed the following:

Added new 2.5mm/30a inputs to T73a63 and T73b68
Added new 1.5mm/15a outputs to T73a1/a2 and b1/b2 to fuses 5/6/27/28 including new signal to IC for HB. F5-A2, F6-B1, F27-B2, F28-A1
Added new 0.5mm outputs from T73a5/b3 to fuses 12/14 for DRLs
replaced 17pin light switch (E1) with 10 pin (3C8941431A) and added 6 outputs from T10 to relevant T73a/b plugs and +15/+30/earth feeds for switch

Replaced stalks with 7E0953507F and added new wires for T41/38/39/40/41 to +15, +30, T73a62, T73b8

Additional information that may be useful:

I would like to add a dimmer switch for the interior illumination but not checked what is needed yet, so T10/10 remains disconnected for now.
Originally I had H4 halogen headlights but now have aftermarket headlights that are T5.1 xenon REPLICAS which have LED Drls. I have also added Osram LED headlight bulbs (not pictured). Pic below:

As seen, I have genuine T6.1 LED tail lights too.

The result:
No DRLs
Side lights working
Low beam working (but showing Main beam display in IC)
No main beam control from stalks at all

But I suspect you expected the above results!

Recently added RLS and HBA(FLA) parts/looms but not concerned with those working yet until after the lights are working correctly.

My long term end goal is to replace the front end with T6 including OEM LED headlights and headlight range control sensors/module but in the mid term, I'm looking to get some ground work done in preparation for them, hence the HBA retrofit.

The only part I am finding a barrier is the coding due to lack of information.

I forgot to mention, the headlights are designed for halogen bulbs, not xenon. Just in case there is any confusion.

General rule:
You cannot use private messaging or post contacts until you have at least 10 posts.

On a side note, I have a “D” revision 7E0 BCM here too. I ran into a wall with the keys so opted to get the other BCM to make the upgrade easier. I would think that there is no real disadvantage in having either BCM?

Previous clarifications:

- Same meridian, same time zone.

- The problem with the BCM 7E0 D is that it is probably parameterized for Kessy, hence that wall to match the keys.
Tip: It is better to buy a virgin BCM, I always recommend talking to firegrafik (forum user), he can help you buy one of the latest D, F models, which will be great for your future original LED headlights and other upgrades...
- You may have to power the license plate lights directly from the T73b/7 BCM pin. (pin dedicated to... if automatic lights).
- This first BCM coding is the starting point, don't panic if there are faults or malfunctions, everything will be solved later.
- Post the results, with your comments and a new Autoscan with the new codings.

Let's go with the first new BCM coding for automatic lights + CH/LH, with Replica headlights (Osram LED bulbs), without Dimmer, with original T6.1 taillights. The starting point.

Note:
You must understand that due to the hardware of your Replica headlights some functions may not be possible. There have always been different versions of Replica headlights for the top selling VW models. The latest versions are better wired.

https://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?p=589273#p589273, I think that you did not transfer the codings from your old BCM and GW to the new one 090B, as indicated in the link I posted to ross-tech for BCM replacement, that is why I requested the Autoscan with the old BCM 087.

We will code the BCM 090B again once the Bixenon headlights are installed.

So I had the chance to blat the coding onto the BCM and we have a great start:

DRLs fully functional including indicator wink - Perfect
Low beams working on “Auto” and Dipped beam - Perfect
High beam working correctly on all functions and stalk positions - Perfect

So the front lights are all working exactly as they should!

As expected, the number plate lights are no longer working but will make the wiring changes for that today (moving to T73b7, which makes sense as I’ll have auto headlights by the end).

I can’t test the full functionality of the auto headlights yet as the day is dramatic but it would appear that they are working. I’ll report back once I am able to test correctly.

The keen eye will see that I no longer have a fault code for the number plate lights. Woohoo!

The same keen eye will see that I no longer have comms with my HBA module. However, I am still experimenting with this retrofit (moving CANBUS lines etc) as I had good direct comms with it on the powertrain BUS but reports of no comms fault code stored in the gateway (always showing up after I did the autoscans, hence why they haven't shown up in any of the scans I have posted so far). However, I have now moved it to the correct BUS (same as the IC) and now I have no direct comms with the HBA module but it appears to be functional LOL

So this is still an ongoing joyride. As long as it functions then I'm happy. I will be experimenting tonight under the cloak of darkness!

In this Autoscan https://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?p=589273#p589273, I think that you did not transfer the codings from your old BCM and GW to the new one 090B, as indicated in the link I posted to ross-tech for BCM replacement, that is why I requested the Autoscan with the old BCM 087.

We will code the BCM 090B again once the Bixenon headlights are installed.

The keen eye will see that I no longer have a fault code for the number plate lights. Woohoo!

The same keen eye will see that I no longer have comms with my HBA module. However, I am still experimenting with this retrofit (moving CANBUS lines etc) as I had good direct comms with it on the powertrain BUS but reports of no comms fault code stored in the gateway (always showing up after I did the autoscans, hence why they haven't shown up in any of the scans I have posted so far). However, I have now moved it to the correct BUS (same as the IC) and now I have no direct comms with the HBA module but it appears to be functional LOL

So this is still an ongoing joyride. As long as it functions then I'm happy. I will be experimenting tonight under the cloak of darkness!

If it's any consolation for you today it's also raining around here, but we're looking forward to this rain, we need it to rain for a couple of weeks at least.

Once the matter of the number plate lights has been solved (well done)... have you checked the operation of all the lights included in the tail lights? Once checked, you should verify that there are no related DTCs in the scan.

There is a possible solution for "low beam" faults in your Replica headlights. I suppose that your Osram LED bulbs are without drive unit, which is very low consumption, installing LEDs with a drive unit will not cause these faults.

They were tests that I did to know what people were installing in their Golf MK7. It currently has the original MATRIX LED headlights installed.

I also did tests with the Scirocco HBA mirror before installing the T6 HBA mirror.
I recommend installing the T6 HBA mirror (works perfectly or better

I do not know if having activated channel 53 in the BCM your Scirocco HBA mirror will work correctly. You get the symbol on the IC, but...
