The box isn't great purely for that mirror in thereamd weighs a ton but two 10" not bad not sure what to do with it just yet. My other mate gave me two 12" aswell but there not at my house and are in a box made to fit a 9n/9n3. That means I now own 6 Subs ha ha.

So there was me last Sunday hanging worse than Saddam Hussain I get a call from my boss he owns mk2 golf lowered bbs etc anyways someone smashed his window so I found him one and took him to get it in Leighton Buzzard like 40 mins away on the way I had a loss of power and misfiring I'm pretty sure the cars blown another f*****g coilpack :-( I have no idea why it goes through like one a year. But anyways we arrived at this mk2 graveyard and there were some beauty's especially an aubergine LHD Wolfsburg edition not in to bad condition but a non runner man if I had money I'd have bought that. but for taking him my boss bought me a stereo. To say thanks it's actually quite good and it's just to tide me over till I get the one I want but it's this

It actually has full iPod control and functionality and is loud it will do for now as it was free and I've had no music for the last 2-3 months going to hook up the twin 10 inch sub as soon as I get a cheap 2 channel amp as I need 1 more channel. As my front speakers are amped.

But as for the misfire I'm sure it's the coilpack and not sparks or ht leads but need to be 100% before I buy a new one

Nice to see your car in more detail, sorry to hear of the trouble, seems its the way of 6n2 ownership! All the best with that, despite the engineering issues the car looks fantastic, nice combo of oem bits makes a very composed and stylish statement! 8) Bet it'll sound good too,the smaller the car, the bigger the bass lift KA-SUB-BOOOOOOM :D !

Cheers lads I ordered a new coilpack last night should arrive today or tomorrow and I'm going to buy new ht leads tonight as I don't think they have ever been replaced. My neighbour has a compression tester too so I may do that this weekend and I've been advised to check the engine earths by Alex so il do that this weekend too, the head unit only has a single phone output so ice ordered splitters forint so I can have 2 outs for speakers and sub instead of one. Il update on the misfire issue as the parts arrive going to clear all error codes at 1pm though as a temp patch till parts come.

Only use genuine VW HT leads. GSF ones like many others are rubbish by comparison.

i have a mate that works at VW here in northampton so il text him and see how much he can get them for,

also i just scanned my car (borrowed my bosses alienware laptop  amazing bit of kit) brought up 5 errors and here they are

VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.1

P0134 - 35-00 - -
16687 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs

i have however cleared the errors  done a few retests and they have stayed off so im hoping after a short drive it sorts itself out untill the coilpack arrives,

the engine start was just because i ran it with only the ignition on

one error code is for random misfire,

two are for misfire on cylinder 1 and 3 (would explain why the thing is so slow... i got overtaken my a micra 2 days ago)

oh and the lambda which i need to replace but cant work out which one of the two it is.
