Wheel spacers?

Post by DelG40 »

I currently have 5mm spacers on the rear to try and sort out the scrubing on the suspension platform going round corners. But they still do it. I'm going to put on 10mm spacers tomorrow see if that sorts it. But, do you think I will need longer studs for this? Or will it be all right?

It's a Mk3 Polo GT (not lowered) with 15" BBS RX2s with 195/45/15 tyres.

If anyone can help out, it'd be appreciated.

The wheel nut needs at least 7.5 turns when you put it in. Any less and you need longer ones.

(this is what I was told at my local tyre shop, and am not responsible for any info given...)

You may not be responsible for any info given - but you are correct and it is a minimum - most wheel bolts have 7-9 turns from start to fully home.

It would be iresponsible to have any less
