Stupid question!!! --> How does it work?

I mean, do you have to lift it or do you push it down to open it? and does it rattle?

I think it could be useful to put a phone or something, keep it out of the sun. How much was it?

James.

Ah, OK, now I see what you mean.

But I did find this cubby a bit flimsy, even if it didn't rattle at all in the Polo Sedan I was driven in.

I also fitted this "highline" cubby, and i think its great, but when the sun is shining the black plastic looks so different to the rest of the plastic in the car...

Fitting it is extremley easy..

just pull the old one at 1 and 2 (thats where the plastic parts will hold it)

and then you can already put in the new one

you can get it from VW, on the continent they use it for the Polo "Highline"

I'm going to head off to the dealers this afternoon to put "Nelson's mod" into action. If figure, if I don't like it, it looks simple enough to take it out again.

Deek

One thing I did notice was that the colour was slightly 'off', this could be a years worth of Sun on the dash but I'm gonna try and sort this out with some boot polish at the weekend.

Des, I too have quite a few bits. Instrument Cluster, Grab handle, Sapre wheel, Tool box, Jack, Boot Struts, Bonnet Strut, Springs, Cubby, TT pedals....

So much stuff and its all located various places around the home

Hi,

I think the different colour has nothing to do with the age or the "sun experience" of your dash, because my Polo's just 5 month old and never saw a real summer...... ... and the colours are off, but it's not too bad... the smooth and the leatherlike plastic parts of the dash also have different colours and it doen't look too bad...

Nelson: You got lots ofd spare Polo bits-Sell them on ebay-this may pay for more mods... :D

I'm thinking of doing this and tried to take out my existing holder(with the fear of the rattle/squeek occuring) but it will just not move and thats with a big tug(...of the cubby box) too...any ideas does it need renching out, I mean I dont really want more rattles...hmmmm
