Hiya, welcome to the site.

It depends on the sort of driving you do. On a long run, motorways etc, you may be lucky and see 350miles.

Normal town driving usually gives me close to 300, but if you're giving it lots of stick it'll drop to 250 or below.

I wouldnt say it's the most economical hot hatch. 8)

I used to get between 250 to 280 miles until the low fuel light came on.

The maximum I ever saw was 320 miles.

The tank only holds 45 litres, and I never let it go below 5 litres.

I worked it out that on average I got 32mpg.

(I now get 40 hehe)

On an average run, with a mix of fast road and urban driving, I get between 260-280 miles on BP Ultimate

The best I have ever got was last week - 320 miles on Sainsburys ordinary unleaded. That was before the red light came on, and with the air con on all the time.

Doing a run from Stranraer to Elgin tomorrow, so am hopeful I could get 350 miles from full tank. Will report back after the weekend.

i have a 1.4 16v and the best i got was 320 out of a tank on a motorway normal is about 280ish and if i push it its 250ish so the 1.6 is no more thirsty than the 1.4 and has 25bhp more! I wouldnt even consider a clio if you could get a polo gti instead, climate control, xenons, bbs alloys etc.... and they are one of the best looking small cars about. Even at 7 years old they look as good as the new fabia vrs, cooper s, the Ibiza cupra and about 100x better than the new GT (they are also quicker than it). they might not be as fast as some other hot hatches but they are in the next class up.

I agree, I can't think of anything that is as well equiped and as fun to drive as the Polo GTI in the same age and price range...either that or I cannot face driving a French car...just to think I was considering a Saxo! ha ha ha! the shame, the shame!

My 6N2 only drink me around 7.2-7.3 L Otc98 fuel per 100KM,
It's so close to the stock data (7.1L/100KM).
It's much cheaper than my previous 1.6 Lancer MR

I just got 330 miles out of mine, I didn't let the red light come on.

I generally drive motorway at about 60-70 every day and then a little bit of urban start-stop traffic. I have had the aircon on and did a few fast starts (0-60) so 330 aint too bad.

about 33mpg ish
