...hope it's true.

probably quite a lot... it will be a soft top
The top engines will be 1.8 petrol and 2.0 TDI...
(hmm a soft top with a Diesel engine? sounds strange for me...)

Hmmm....
Option 1: Wait for the New Polo GTI to be announce at Frankfurt in September (and probably available next spring)
or...
Option 2: Wait to see if this Spider comes out next spring
or...
Option 3: Wait until '05 for this:

VW are just making things difficult now!
(I wonder which of the above are rumours, and which will turn out to be true?)
Deek.

If this "spider" is as that picture - then it's obviously built off the MKV/Lupo chassis, rather than the 9n/MK6. So, if the 1.8 (T??) has been crammed in, does that mean a (factory built) Lupo R18 is on the way???
Much droolage going on over here!

If you look closely at that pic it kinda looks like a photo-chopped Merc SLK with a Lupo front end...
I need some sleep.
Anyway, where do i sign?

If I think about the next Golf and all the different photos from various sources (and they are all a bit different) I am sure this is not the final look for that Polo...

If it looks like that I wouldn't buy it.
The Streetka was out 2 weeks and it was already associated as a hairdressers car...
Not for me
