New BIGGER wipers on my car... :D

Post by kapur »

:D :D
As the title says, managed to fit bigger wipers on my car today. Over-all affect, BLOODY AMAZING. Beats the s**t out the original small ones.

For anyone and everyone who wants to upgrade...

I'm using the arms from a VW Bora (had them left over from brothers car), with JML blades on both.

It's great, it wipes more of the screen, and it's god damn it effective.

It's a worth-while upgrade.

Can take photos if anyone requires.

Sounds... intriguing. I take it that the new wipers don't overrun the glass at all? You must post pictures!

Hehe, nope, they don't over-run (AT ALL).

it's stupid, i don't understand why VW didn't stick these wipers on in the first place.

Their bloody MAHOOOOOSIVE, clean up alot of the screen, and it doesn't leave like that shark fin area towards the centre of the windscreen.

Pretty neat. Will take photos tomorow (provided that the weathers good) 8)

Forgot to ask/mention, how/where do i host the pics? :?

Oh, and how can i stop the wipers mid way on the windscreen? or right at the further position they go (towards the drivers side), for fotos this is.

sounds interesting, looking forward to the pics

you could stick them to intermittently on, then flick em' off once they are in the correct position (or turn of ignition) for the pic and they should stay there

Ok, took about 60odd photos of the car. Will sift through them and try and upload the best one.

27.7MB of photos, if anyones interested, i can send them all over MSN.

I just realised, but i'm missing two JML clips for the right hand side wiper (drivers side). hehe, oh well, will just buy another pair. The JML wipers are the best. 8)

hehe,

Glad you all like them. 8)

Going to change the rubber on the drivers side for a new JML one, since i realised that thats an original Bora one, but the other one we already stuck a new JML rubber on. Just want them matching.

Now for a bigger back one, lolz.
:D Well pleased, because my old wipers were crap, and they didn't clean properly either. As you can see with these new ones, it doesn't even leave a gap around the centre area of the windscreen.

P.S. How do i find out the length? They were stored in a temporary box so don't have the original box. Obviously if you do pop down to a VW showroom though, you can ask them for a part number/length of the wipers. :)

They look huuuuggee!!! Wouldn't mind a set of those in aero style.

Any chance you could post a pic of them parked in the rest position. i.e when they are not in use.

Here you go.

It's pretty cool, because their not even touching, so their is clearance, so it looks neat. :)
