There's also this from Members Rides:

Imageshack, use it for all of my pics, can't fault it. Just tell it what pic off your hard disc you want hosted, hit the GO button, wait a short while (for your modem to send it), then copy and paste the relevant bit of code into your post.

Easy as falling off a log onto a piece of cake.

Just make sure, for the love of pete, you get the picture properly sorted before you host it. Crop it down if necessary, ditto lightening/sharpening, and "smooth" resize it to a suitable dimension (between 500 and 800 pixels across and 300 to 600 high is sensible). Then save as JPG, somewhere around 15 to 30 level compression*

Course you might already know all that stuff, but please dont take it as patronisation ;)

* that's if you use Paintshop Pro and a few others that use it's system of measuring JPG compression. On others, if it comes out looking like something the cat hawked up, you'll have to reverse the 0-100 scale, i.e. put it as around 70-85 instead. Windows paintbrush I think saves to about level 50, too aggressive for most material, so it's hard to get a nice looking JPG out of it....
