Polo GTi might be on it's way...
...well in South Africa atleast - or maybe not. VWSA has announced 10 new models in it's current ranges. 6 of these will be in the Golf/Jetta range (the first two is the 1.8T model - 132kW engine - Jetta/Golf), one is in the Passat range (TDi)...and the rest we don't know yet. So that leaves 3. Only thing that makes me think that it won't be released, is the fact that the Polo Classic range has just been released and they are on par with the Polo hatch. I wish it does come! Just imagine a Polo with 132kW - 177bhp on tap....mmmmm mouth watering stuff!
It WILL come
I just happend to know that a GTI model, WILL be released. I think there is some info comming out in the end of this year, or the beginning of 2004. And yes it is the 1.8T model....
