Snooper(s) / Whistler(s) - Are they any good?

Post by Ballyhoo »

I'm thinking about getting a Whistler / Snooper but are they any good?

I know the old ones were a bit rubbish but does anybody know if buying the following is worth it?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... gory=15329

I's like a Road Angel but the £300+ proce tag is out of my reach at the moment-so was thinking about the Snooper...

Advice great appreciated as always.

Thanks.

Personally i would save a little more and get the Road Angel. I've heard nothing but good news about that.

Hi there

I've got a Snooper at the moment (I think it might be their bottom of the range radar/laser detector)... It works fine.

I used to have a BEL 880 that I imported from Canada which was the business until I fried it while trying to hard wire it in

If I were you, I'd go for a combination of a GPS based upgradable system, laser detector and radar detector. The only one that I know that combines all thse is the top of the range snooper.

IMHO it looks better than the Road Angel/Geoddesy/OrigineBluei as well, and provides a lot of info on it's nice dot matrix screen.

The Road Angel does have a laser detector, but where's the radar??? Police still use radar... I'm pretty sure of that.

Anyway, that's just my 2€
