Well.....i've covered 1,500 miles in the TDi now, so i'm beginning to 'play' with it a little. This diesel engine (my first diesel) is a joy to drive and pulls fanatastically well - i'm really not missing my 1.6 16v GTi performance at all. All this and i've just filled up again and averaged another 49mpg
Everything is going nicely; new Thule roof bars fit a treat and the replacement cubby box should be with me soon
My only last remaining question now is.....where the hell does the service manual go? Seems like a stupid question, but it just doesn't seem to have anywhere to live and i've had to take it out for the time being. The GTi had a special compartment at the side of the seat but the TDi seemingly has nowhere - it doesn't fit in the under-seat compartments and if I put it in the glovebox it would fill it up!
What's the trick?
