GT Grille Badge

Hi

I put up a thread in 'wanted' but no-one has replied as of yet, I am after a 'GT' grille badge for my Mk3 GT. Does anybody have one they are willing to part with?

I have a spare, it was in very good nick when I took it off the car too but it's with all the spare parts in my parents garage so I can't guarantee it's in the same condition now.

What are you thinking of paying?

The G40 badges are discontinued, but I think the GT ones are still available. There are often GT badges on ebay, have a look there.

is the only difference theyre silver??

on my mk2 i took off the grille, plastic primed it, and gave it a coat of matt black paint

came out quite well i thought!!

mk2 ones are slightly different to mk3 versions.

i had the last one any uk dealerships could get thanks to nelson

no longer available,even from vagparts iirc

Got it as a spare when i had my gt and i think its still in the packaging in the bottom of my wardrobe

according to VAG the G40 ones are still available, but the GT ones aren't.

I don't know how much they are to be honest. The ones on ebay are mostly for the later Mk6(?) Polo's, and ideally I'd like a genuine mk3 one.

Pettsy, would you be willing to part with yours? Or Krupa? I honestly don't know how much they would be, so without ripping me off how much would you want?

I'll dig it up next time I'm at my parents place, from what I can remember it's mint (hence taking it off the car and preserving it) but my parents tidied their garage up recently which means it's probably in with my stuff. Should be fine but you never know.

About as high-res a pic as my cacky digicam will allow. Sorry 56k!

This is the one off my car as you can see from the photo still with raindrops and dead gnats.

Small amount of paint missing from the top corner of the T, but this is hardly noticeable on the car. In fact, I hadn't noticed it until I took it off.

Fiver plus P&P? Shouldn't cost more than a pound, so Â£6 all in? Unless you're going to be at a show sometime soon or fancy picking up from Cardiff?

all that trouble of getting a badge, and Krupa's hunting for his (thanks mate!), and now I've gone and bloody won a complete set of GT badges on ebay!! I only bidded a token amount as I didn't think I'd get them, and now I've won them!

Complete set of front and rear GT badges anyone??
