Pffffffft don't let the F1 board see that! They'll have heart attacks 
(one blowout and they screw up an entire continent-wide marketing deal)
Seen similar things happen before in a couple races, on those Car Wars type compilations
Even better was one where it was a superbike separated from rider... It kept on rolling all the way into the pits!
And a mate's had a wheel very nearly make a similar getaway from their old Fiat on the M6... garage did a crappy job of tightening the nuts up (sad to say i repeated it with one of my own tyre changes a year later and got off similarly luckily!). Wonder if it was a bit of pitcrew sabotage?
