Exhaust for Gti

Post by kz »

Hello

Whether someone changed full exhaust in Polo Gti 6N2. I'm interesting to change all exhaust on stainless steel. I have a few question to YOU :

1. Whether you threw out catalysts?
2. On what you changed the diameters of pipes (you enlarged?) ?
3. Whether you put in sport catalyst?

Thanks for help.

Hey KZ,

Welcome!

Yet another continental member, excellent.

I'm sure the GTI lads will chime in to actually answer your questions.

hello KZ. welcome aboard.

to keep it simple, lose the cat with a bypass or straight through pipe, ended with a performance exhaust. these will have thousands spent in research and development, so the diameters should be spot on.

Just kidding

If you're throwing out the cat you do want to keep the lambda sensor, correct?

And is it still road legal in Poland then?

When I throwing out cat my lambda sensor can gave wrong signal to ECU - and I want to put in sport cat.

Speedlaw - road without cat is illegal in Poland.
