Hi, Sorry this must be a really stupid question but I just can't find anywhere what mk is my polo. I've included a link above of a similar one i just found on google. Basically I bought a polo 1.4 cl (p reg 1996) And its killing me as I dont know what mk it is. Id appreciate if anyone can put me out of my missery. lol... Thanks!

That's a mk 4 (also known as 6n).
Some people refer to them as mk3, as what we tend to think of as the mk3 was actually a facelift of the mk2 so is technically the mk2f.. but around here it's very much a mk4 ;)

Over here (Holland) is a Polo mark III, called Polo 6N.

We name the Polo's like this: Polo 1, Polo 1F-->F stands for Facelift
Polo 2, Polo 2F and so on...
So my Polo is really a facelift from the 6N. The 9N has already a facelifttype and yesterday we've had the opportunity to drive a testmodel..a 74kw (100hbp) 1.9 TDI!! And it drove marvellous! Just like my G40..
