Cool elec window tricks...

Post by dino »

Not sure if you all knew this but i only found out last night after talking to someone i know with a Skoda Fabia VRS (very nice looking car)

If you put your key in the door lock and turn it to the lock position (when the windows are down) and hold it the windows shut and vice versa if there closed turn it to the open position and hold they will open.

How cool :D :D :D

hehe yep its called Total Closure, and that same function can be controlled with the remote locking too - just hold down the open or close button and it will do the stuff :D

yeh and a theif loves it!

typical mishap by vw. just think, you have no alarm, but central locking, electric window etc.

a theif rams a screwdriver into your lock, and turns anti clock wise, the windows have now dropped and he can reach in without anyone noticing

so dont go telling people about that trick.

just reminds me of the mondeo's where you could kick the front bumper and set the air back off, which for 'safety' reasons opened all the doors!

and the fiesta with half a tennis ball, where the pressure would pop the lock

yea its a good trick but the only thing is you have to stand there for agers waiting and if you let go and try it again it doesn't workm you haave to turn it to lock then back to open, i wonder if it would work if you had an aftermarket alarm, like the clifford i am getting, which has a window closure add-on but maybe i won't need.
