HELP engine swop j reg gt engine and gearbox into 1 litre

Hi i have a complete polo gt coupe j reg i want to swap the engine into my 1 litre l reg boulevard hatch back is it possible? what else will i need please? thanks cheers in advance

It's been a while since I wrote that article! You'll need to swap over the GT inline fuel pump too, and basically use all the GT injection and ancillaries where possible - just makes it all easier.

The engine bay wiring looms both plug into the fusebox and are easily removed and swapped over if you're patient. Use the GT gearbox too. You may need to fit the GT radiator fan as well if the Boulevard only has a single speed fan and the GT's is two speed. Might need to swap the gear linkage and ARB too if the Boulevard's a 4-speeder.

The gear-linkage and ARBs are the same for all the MK3s, whether it be the four spped of five speed, so you won't need to worry about those, which is nice.
