has my pedal box gone?

right ... fitted new front pads on thurs (14th) ebc greenstuf ...
they take 200miles to bed in ... so

on saturday im going down a road soing bout 65 and start braking for a roundabout then realise i have to brake a bit harder than i thought (trying not to mess up the new pads/old discs) then i heard this sort of clonk noise and felt it throught the brake pedal, i pulled over and had a look just to see if i could see anything .. pads maybe?

but no ... the car still drives fine no change at all!

could the pedal box have gone???

The pedal box only effects the clutch pedal, not all 3, so no!

Welcome to the world of ABS mate! On heavy braking you will feel the brake judder or even lightly clunk!!

not to worry you but shortly after getting my pedal box replaced i had to brake hard and i heard a load snap and the pedal shot forward.

Brake lights always remained on after it happened though took it back to VW and they said it was a faulty brake pedal it had snapped when i asked to see it.

id check to see if you've got the same problems. When it had happened i could pull the pedal back towards me.

ahhh cheers for your help!

i think it was the abs kicking in come to think of it? as our polos have these little pedal niggles i just assumed it would be a problem rather that the abs ... oh well

... and yeah ill check the brake pedal for play too
