Climate Control Display

guys i was told that you can have an onboard computer on the climate control display on the polo gti, is this true??

From what I've read yes, it can display differnt functions, e.g. speed etc, for how it's done you'll have to search Google or something like that

I think no one has replied because there was a thread about this not long ago! hee hee!

Have a look further down in this section and I believe there may have been something in the DIY section also...don't think it was such a great thing as I don't think there is much you can modify and the speed shown may have been in km/h as opposed to mph.

Apparently from what I can remember reading, it is displayed in KMH but you can change it to MPH

yep u can change most of the displays to alternative measurements, just press econ and auto at the same time. if u want the climate control to display your speed in mph (in the disagnostic mode) you first have to change the temperature reading to display in farenhieght hen in normal climate control, as pressing both auto and econ when in the diagnostic mode will turn it back to the standard climate control display.

(IIRC you press temperature down, fan down and econ to display the diagnostic information)
