Driveshaft bolts

Post by deathhour »

does any1 know where i can get cheap vag driveshaft bolts? because the dealer are charging me £14 for 6 and I think thats quite expensive or is that the normal rate??

And I've heard off a road side recovery guy that everytime you take the bolts off you have to replace them with knew ones??? does any1 know if this is true??

He said its like replacing the driveshaft nut everytime you take it off otherwise the nut will come lose by itself??

I don't think they will come loose if you torque them up correctly..you could always stick some threadlock on them anyway.

I've had my bolts on and off several times (and cursed each one..), haven't had any problems.. but better be safe than sorry if you're unsure. I'd say your best bet is either VAG parts or one of the trade stands at VW shows that sells odd VW nuts and bolts..
