Got a copy of PVW, question on advertisements...

Post by MadManMike »

Right I notice all the companies offering exhausts, they all say cat back etc... will these companies laugh if I ask for a straightthrough de-cat system or do they only do "legal" exhausts?

Also, there's a company in there selling all types of exhausts, they look like a Euro company as they price things like "40£" rather than "£40", their stuff seems very cheap, should I avoid it?

(For example, a DTM style pipe for £69)

Cheers in advance, Mike

that company selling cheap exhaust are probably universal back boxes meaning they will fit any car! not the best of fits!

de-cating isn't illegal unless ur car is registered after 1992!

as far as i no, you'll need a de-cat down pipe but i'm not sure if company's would do them! vw do a de-cat down pipe but its fairly expensive!

hardhitter on here was doing de-cat downpipes, check his section at the bottom of the main forum!

hope thats of some help!
