eaton boost results

Post by LregG »

After work tonight i plugged up the works diagnostic equipment to carry out a boost check. The pressure transducer calibrates itself to 0.00bar when you first plug it in so the atmospheric pressure for that given time is it's base reading.

Right, i plugged up the equipement

checked the vacuum at idle

And then went for a spin, to see how progressive the boost is i took (rough) snap shots at 2, 3, 4 ,5k rpm and a peak hold reading at 6.5k rpm.

2k rpm

3k rpm

4k rpm

and the peak boost captured at 6500 rpm was

For a comparison my Full Blend with toothed belts was at 1.01bar at 6500rpm on the same engine spec using the same equipment to measure

My bottom end is standard, as is the head, cam and exhaust manifold. Everything else isn't

The crank pulley on my car is the same size as what's on the mini cooper 's' and the eaton still has it's standard pulley on (for the moment!) so the spin speed is as standard!!

Suprising results??
