*This post should really go in the MK4 Section - I might move it there*

Could I make a suggestion?
Have you thought about removing your rubbing strips down the side of your car?
I did it on my MK4 and it makes it look sooo much smoother.
Directions: (Use at your own risk!)
1 Get a hair dryer (I used my mums!)
2 Get an extension cable
3 When it's not raining, take extension cable and hair dryer outside to your car
4 Plug hair dryer into extension lead
5 Get a blunt round edged butter knife
6 Heat up the corner of the rubbing strip on the door (the side underneath your door handle
7 Heat it up for quite a while
8 With the butter knife, using the other rubbing strip (the one on your rear quarter) as leverage, start to prize away the door rubbing strip
9 Keep the hair dryer on the strip, keep it warm
10 When you get about 3 - 4 inches done, stop.
11 Place the rubbing strip back on the door and start on the back one, again, using the one you've just done as leverage (so you're not levering on paint!)
12 Once you have done 3 - 4 inches of the rear one, start again on the front one. Keep the heat on the strip and VERY gently prize it away until the whole thing comes off. IT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME!
13 Do the back one
14 Get some polish (T-Cut, Whatever) and remove the sticky residue off the paint
15 DO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CAR!
Makes it look a lot more Audi A3... Very Smooth!
Take it easy doing it, keep the heat on! You don't want to pull your laquer or paint away!
Get a little stool to sit on when you do it. It took me about 4 hours!
Have fun!
