Look like the bunny to me. Bit of a shame that they haven't done anything distinct from the Golf GTI in terms of styling, but there you go...

Do those wheels look like 16s?

Good find, anyway!

Deek.

Looks sweet!

You could always swap the alloys for the 17/18 inch golf ones lol!

Nice pics. It is a shame it doesn't look very distinctive. You could actually do a lot more just buying a standard lesser model and modding it yourself.

The alloys are 16" and just smaller versions of the Golf GTI. I got the dealer to check the style of the Varano alloys I specced on my new car and VW UK sent a PDF file listing all their alloys for all models. The Polo GTI wheels were listed as 205/45/16 and same style as the Golf GTI.

I just wonder what the spec will be and how much it will cost...... not that I will be buying one!

The tinted headlights made it then :) but look a bit wierd on a white car, nevermind. Doesn't look like any of these cars have got xenon headlights mind you, a bit disappointing IMO. Not bad overall, I'll wait until it gets to my local dealership and get a closer look - hoping they'll do a similar thing to the launch of the Golf GTI and take a handful to Oulton Park again

I've been think of getting some GTI MK5 replicas from www.vwspeed.co.uk, which are 5x100 ET35 but they only seem to have 18", dont want bigger than 17" end up looking like cartwheels (IMO).

Awwww, no Golf GTi-esque flat-bottomed steering wheel :(

Add xenon lights and I'd be happy :D by the way are those the "official" press shots? Red is OK but it'd not the colour I'd plump for I don't think :)

I would have thought xenons would be an option? I love the dark front lights, the seats don't look as grippy as the golfs.

I think they are the official shots.

I have read on various forums around the Internet that xenon lights should be an optional extra but won't be available for around 3-4 months after the initial launch? :?

If anyone sees the second shot there, this one...

... in a high resolution (ie. 1600x1200) then please let me know, as I want a new wallpaper

Looking forward to seeing this at my dealership!

I think it looks way too much like the Golf GTi, its like they took all the fancy bits from the Mk5 golf GTI and shoved them on the Polo. I bet the price difference for a new one of these and the golf isnt that much.
