Buying German taillights

Post by SiDaBa »

I know that a lot of people have a low opinion of the "lexus" style lights but i was wondering whether i would have any problems if i were to buy a set from Germany as they are a lot cheaper than buying them in the UK.

I'd ask Dan (UK_POLO_GTI) he bought some and had problems. I think they leaked.

Actually, I quite like those lights!

Much better than the previous set I saw floating round here, with the plastic divisions between each light.

There are two reversing lights on these clusters and two fog lights. When you plug in the plug that came off your existing clusters, only a connection is made to the lights that you had already i.e. my car only had the right fog light working when it was turned on - it is the same now. Both reversing lights come on when i put it in reverse - same as on old clusters.

and no, no leaks or anything and i have them three/four weeks...seem grand to me - the all in cost was €150 for them including 2 day postage to ireland

A fairly straightforward install by the sounds of things then?

I think they'd look rather pukka on my black Polo. Gonna sort out lowering first though. 8)

EDIT: Just noticed that 'Performance Polo' sticker in the back window. What's all that about? :?
