Good gravy, man! Have you never heard of cropping the picture?

Like reducing a 2592x1944 pixel*, 2.5mb* digital camera of an entire car and driveway down to the very much smaller badge itself?

Yikes.
(well, ok, at least it wasnt on the page itself :) but that was still a monster)

* you are using a samsung A5 and i claim my free beer

..
EDIT
..

Et voila, here are the actual-size useful bits from that ;)
(cheers for providing the original material dude)

(grabbed them by doing a screendump of the left and then right sides of what had loaded up ... perhaps there was more useful bits in the final third of the pic but it was going to take another couple minutes to finish loading!)

Tahrey1043, neither of them took those pics, so you may have the right camera, just the wrong photographer(s) :P

also the quality on your crops is very low! prob why they linked to higher quality files?

:P

if you compare to the original image inder (if you wait for it to load), you'll find that its the exact same quality. I took the crops direct from the picture, in all it's 100% zoomed, two-monitors-wide glory.

In fact i cleaned them up a little too as the contrast/brightness was slightly dim once cropped (as they were in a dark bit of the pic), reduced colour saturation to remove some fringing, and did a little bit of sharpening.

Suppose if its not the posters original pic, then that's ok really as it was just a quick image-google :)

Ahh yes, see what you mean, crazy 2592 pixel wide file with not so good image quality, oh well

i'd say they're good enough for a p-shop though ... they've come off the back of touareg almost filling that pic after all :D

such as this beauty of a two-minute mash up ;)
Image
(badges actually pasted onto original 5-mpix image of the car, too.. only reduced when dropping it to a more internettable size. Probably could have cut/pasted/colour corrected them a lot better :D)

3k, wheeeee :) lucky for you, thats pretty damn quick! guess you caught it at a point where the host server was under light demand as well.... i'm sharing a 1mbit connection (so might have expected them to take 30 secs & 1 minute - quite a time already) but it seems the host was congested, maybe too many big files at once. took 4-5 minutes to reach the roughly 2/3rds full stage where i was able to cut n paste.

(56k wouldnt have stood a chance )
