Hi rob, you just lift up the gator then you`ll see a gold clip that holds the gearknob onto the shaft i just snipped that off then the gearknob just pulls off, HTH

I know the gold clip releases the whole lot from the gearstick, but the knob is still firmly attached to the gaitor
any ideas?
I had to cut the gator where it joins onto the gearknob then squeeze the gator up into the new gearknob and then tighten with the allen key, it was fiddly but i managed to get it right
