Nothing Happening On Uk-Polos
I've noticed that this forum is dieing out.
Has everyone abandoned it & made a run over the border to Porka?
School, College, Uni starting so you lot are slightly forgiven for lack of posts.
Just wondering what everyone's up to as not much seems to be happening lately...

Weather is crap
Nights are long
I'd rather read one decent post and be limited to that than 30 pages of crap to find a half decent post where I learnt something.......
It goes quiet sometimes just like me!!!
It's still a nice place to be

It always has quietened down over the autumn/winter seasons...
Most car forums I am a member of do the same... A lot of people can't be arsed with cars when the weather is crap and it's dark all the time... Me included. The car is now in "Winter Mode" and I just drive it to work and back. Roll on the spring!
Don't abandon us though, just post more!!!
Simple

personally, its just because i'm f***ing knackered by work, college, playing with actual car, and 100 other life things. real life has to take precedence over internet (usually). thursday night i came in for a quick break from doing the box at about 10, sat on the floor leaning against the bed doing a couple of organising things, mum pops in to say goodnight, five minutes later im zorked out myself, against the bed... not much posting can get done that way! (jeez, im only 23.. first night out in months last night and it ended at 1am.. how dire is that! mind you i wasnt the one who called the halt, so others are feeling it even more)
winter's playing a big part of it too - just had a flyer through the door for Phillips anti-SAD sunlamps, and though there's no mention anywhere of their power consumption (probably a good kW or more) or price, i am tempted...
i dont see how the porka boys keep it up, unless they have both their computers wired directly to their heads and have goldfish memories that forget the topic of a couple posts earlier so as to abandon it to the very newest one.
not keeping that post rate up AND having any kind of life off the web
thats said with me having a very fast typing speed and a good broadband connection 'n' all

Well I was a couple of hundred of miles away from my PC for the weekend, down in your neck of the woods mysteryboy
I can understand where you're coming from, it does go very quiet sometimes on the forum, but personally I quite like the fact that I've not been on for nearly three days and yet I can still catch up with the new and recent posts without having to spend a few hours in front of the screen
but I agree with the other guys, Winter is the time for getting my head down and just getting on with work and stuff, the car is being looked after but has taken a back seat now that the show season has ended and the nights are drawing in
