2004 Model Year...

Post by Scorpio1 »

As my car is ever closer to be delivered now (well waiting for ship) I wondered will it still have the same bits as the 2003 model?
My main concerns are:

The comfort close system and one touch up and down for both sides

The alarm and switchblade key

And that nice interior front light, you know the big one with the map reading lights in, (think the sensors go there)? Image
The brochure is less than helpful, so thought you guys might be able to help

But been told everything else is the same including the nice dual tone horns etc

Us SEAT owners have been getting MY04 cars for about a month. You should get an MY04 car too...if you don't, complain and you should either get the stuff added to your car or a discount.

Well that's one thing they did say, it is 2004 MY.

Just don't know how they've changed it :?

You'll find most of the changes are quality improvements (e.g. late 03 models have different wings and door cards etc)

You should get the map lights if you have remote locking, thats a certainty

No ones really sure here. I think the actual arch is different on the newer models (sticks in a bit more possibly) and the door cards probably have more mounting points to stop them creaking as much in hot weather.

One thing I also don't know is, do the 9N Polo's have deadlocks?

Ah, excellent!

Now long as I get the nice key, I'm happy!

(Shame about lack of puddle and rear lights)

I have finally seen and sat in my car and has pretty much everything I expected it to. However, it didn't have the one touch windows (although the buttons clicked twice) it didn't have auto lock, and comfort close I forgot to check, are these all programmable things via their computer??

I REALLY hope they are and just want to check before I pick it up
