my new gt!

Post by captain_starlet »

well i sold my car.... starlet gt, and couldnt find a polo gt close. but the next day i found one!...

h reg,
grey,
118k miles,
mint,
un modded.

but...
theres a crack in the bodywork on the passenger side B pillar closer to the roof.

plus, it has little dents and scratches but hard to see em' unless u really look.

apart from that its mint.

would you bother modifying it???

i wouldnt spend no more than 1k modding it.
i'd like....

14" bbs g40 alloys,
lowered 60/40 or 60/60
chip
straight through de-cat
induction kit
g40 throttle body,
strut brace
debadged grill

id like it to b fast!

so anybody that could sort me out with some parts then let me know. cheers!

Spend money on getting it right mechanically and fix any problems first. Then upgrade the suspension and brakes. After that I would do the wheels & tyres and look at the engine when they are done.

A G40 throttle body will not work, plus they arent as good anyway.

what he said!

get the car spot on first, then do suspension, wheels, tyres, brakes! that'll really improve the looks no end! i hate seeing a car modded up but they haven't done all the bits that make it a better car in the first place!

also, if ur after G40 wheels, they are 13's. the early mk2 (possible mk1) golfs were fitting with the same wheels but in 14" and 15"! for reference, the wheels u'd be after are BBS RA's. hope that helps ya out a bit!

o and don't forget to post some pics, so we can all have a look!
