Standard ones are Poo init.

You need something Like this:

Theres some phillips ones in Halfords which are supposedly good.

I just changed mine on the 8v - go to www.powerbulbs.com and you can get the blue vision or clear vision bulbs for about 20 quid delivered. If you go to the discounts section of this forum you get 10% off!

you also get free clear sidelights - and hey presto! clear lights, not yellow ones.

bargain. 8)

the philips ones I described are all road legal

they are 10 times better than the standard ones. you will NOT be disappointed.

I have the clear vision on both the polos - they are great, and the free sidelights make a huge difference to the appearance.

H4

1 x Philips Vision Plus H4
Pair (PVPH4)
GBP 15.70 each + GBP 2.75 Tax
-----------------------------------------------------------
Shipping
FREE standard shipping - United Kingdom
GBP 0.00 + GBP 0.00 Tax
-----------------------------------------------------------
Order Value = GBP 15.70
Tax = GBP 2.75
Total = GBP 18.45
(GBP = British Pounds)

That's not including the discount

the light is much brighter and whiter than the stasndard blubs, but it's not going to give you xenon colour or HID colour. It definitely is worth doing tho. maybe the blue vision ones are more suited to what you want?

The reason I went with Philips Visionplus is becasue they were top rated by Auto Express.

Image
Here are just some of the benefits you'll see:

Up to 50% more light on the road
20 metres longer beam
Better reflections from road signs
UV resistant Cut Quartz safe to use with plastic lenses
Optimises colour temperature to give deep white light
Interchangeable upgrade with existing lamps
Fully Compliant with ECE Regulation 37

But don't just take our word for it! Here's what Auto Express said about Philips Vision Plus in their 2003 Autobulb test...
Recommended Award "Philips' top-of-the-range option is a superb bulb which performed comfortably ahead of the plus 30% premium versions. You just cannot ignore the performance, which is why the Vision Plus merits our Recommended award."
