does anyone know wat sits below the bumpstrips on the side of the mk3 coupes as im thinkin of removing them. but i dont want to find big screw holes that need filling and if this is the case i dont think i will do it.

any suggestion as to wat they are mounted with?

if i remember correctly,there are no holes....however, if your cars ever had any spraying done they don't usually remove the side trims,and you will have the masking line hidden underneath :roll:

all original panels does the same apply to the tacky vinyls down the side of the car aswell?

some marigold gloves (pink preferably :D ) some very hot water, a sponge, a long fingernail and endless ammounts of patience should do the trick on the tacky stickers :wink:

or some light heat, i find my halogen ( :?: ) work light does the trick if you hold it close enough to the car :wink: Just don't get it so hot that it burns the paintwork or melts any trim :roll:

dont need to worry about heat or pink marigolds lads ;) got a special rubber wheel available from windsor wurth that emoves all vinyl and horrible cacky stickers was just more important to find out if the paint carried on underneth the tags and strip so i didnt find primer ;)
