THE UK-POLOS.NET South-East meet 2006 (UPDATED 21/01/06)

Hello everyone

It is time to start getting names for the now annual South-East winter meet held in Dartford in Kent at The Wharf pub.

The meet is due to take place on Sunday 29th January 2006 . Here is a little info for those you us who don't no the pub:

Nestled behind the factory and office units of this business park and beside an attractive lake lies The Wharf. It is a Shepherd and Neame pub serving excellent bar meals with a restaurant below the bar area. An extensive and varied menu including a good selection of fish, my favourite remains the Carvery. Reasonably priced at under Â£7.00, it includes 3 meats (beef, pork and turkey), roast and new potatoes, 4 or 5 vegtables and the usual trimmings (stuffing, yorkshire pudding etc). A really pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. The bar gets very busy at lunch time but the restaurant while busy doesn't usually require booking.

The pub is located about a mile from the M25, which gives easy access from all over the South!

For those who have attended the last two years will hopefully agree this is a great venue to hold the meet as there is plenty of parking up space and we can go into the pub, have some food, a drink and a jolly good natter!

We will be ariving from around 10.30 so any time after that would be good. the pub itself doesn't open till 12!

The invite is extended to other members who don't have a polo but are still interested all the same, last year we were due to have a few lupos turn up but unfortunatly all but one backed out!

I shall post up more info as time goes along as i don't wanna make this post too long so people get bored reading it!

Well it's been a good meet and a good turn out for the past two years so hopefully this year can beat last year.

In the defence of the Lupo's they had their own meet a day before some where and it was understandably too much to ask that they mange to turn up to our event as well

Don't think I'll make it to this one unfortunately

No polo while I'm at uni, and I don't much fancy catching a train from Reading to Dartford - far too pricey, damn rail networks

Hope it turns out to be a success though
